Luís Andrade is curious as to why we have to take English and Math courses during our first year of college if we took these in High School. For many of us, the idea of having to take Gen Eds such as Math and English can be frustrating, though most majors will require these courses. While many majors might need you to have these credits, there are different ways in which you can get around taking the actual course and save some money. What’s important is that you are able to prove that you possess the particular skills taught in these classes that may be critical in your field of choice! How did you get out of taking Gen Eds?

Andre Rouhani has attended The Johns Hopkins University and is currently at Arizona State University working as a math teacher and pursuing a PhD in Mathematics Education.
