Before becoming an astronaut, Chris was a college student with a wide range of passions spanning biology, math, Spanish, and art. She struggled to pick a path, but she knew she wanted to stand at the frontier of what we know and what we have yet to discover. Chris’s college journey shows how taking detours or trying different paths can actually bring us closer to where we’re meant to be. From diving into multiple academic fields to discovering a passion for professional cycling and becoming a decorated member of the USA cycling team, every twist and turn in her story added to the skills and knowledge she uses today as an astronaut.
We’re on a mission to learn how people have learned! To do that we’re interviewing people from various fields and asking them about their lives, careers, and college journeys. “College Journeys” aims to inspire viewers by showcasing the varied paths to success and highlighting the importance of learning, both in school and life.
