When it comes to preparing for finals, many of us can forget to take care of ourselves, so it is really important that as you study, you nourish your body to have the energy to keep going. When studying, try to focus on one subject at a time so you can truly digest and understand the information that you’re working with and as you get closer to your test, be sure to get everything you might need for the day of the night before so you’re ready to go!

Victoria Banuelos completed her undergraduate degree at UC San Diego where she majored in Communications and International Studies. While in school, Victoria was President of the Undergraduate Communication Society and President of the Order of the Tritons as part of the UCSD Alumni Association. She also served in Student Government as Senior Class Representative for Revelle College and was a Resident Advisor. Victoria worked in environmental consulting and commercial real estate and later received her Master’s in Communication Management from the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University. She recently published her first book, “”First-Gen, NextGen: A Guide to Thriving as a First-Generation Latinx in the Next Generation of the American Workforce”” based on her experience in college and the first five years of her professional career, which debuted as an Amazon Hot New Release. Currently, Victoria is the Director of Marketing for ASU Local. Victoria’s higher education journey included going from High School to a 4-Year Institution, being a First Generation Student, Study Abroad (Outside the U.S), and Work-Study.
