While some may approach networking as a way to climb a ladder and build transactional relationships with others, that can be very offputting and uncomfortable for others. By approaching networking on a relatable level and creating life-long, meaningful relationships as opposed to solely short, professional ones, you may open yourself up to opportunities that may have not been there otherwise.

Alicia Brayboy attended Boston University and her field of study included Advertising, Marketing and Communications. She is also involved in Acting and Film as well as Tarot. While in school, Alicia participated in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Mock Trial, Ballroom Dance, Choir, Diversity Student/Black Student Union, NPHGC, Career Counselor Assistant, Pageantry – Miss Mass USA and is currently working as an Actress-Filmmaker, Freelance Digital Marketer and Tarot Reader. She used to work in Corporate Tech Marketing. Alicia worked her way through college with internships that were similar to full-time entry level positions. Even though she likes and is good at marketing, she ended up switching careers after graduation. Alicia’s higher education journey included going from High School to a 4-Year Institution, being a First Generation Student and Work-Study.
