Choosing the “”wrong”” major is more common than you think. If you find yourself in a major that doesn’t motivate you, take some time to research other options that may be up your alley. Set a meeting with your advisor, but most importantly do not fret! You will find a field that’s just right for you!

Emma Blunck is currently enrolled at Arizona State University Online, majoring in Mass Communications and Media Studies with a focus on Media Literacy and is the Editor-in-Chief of the Spark Newsletter (online newsletter). Emma is wrapping up her final semester of her undergraduate degree as a fall intern at Rock the Vote- getting to blend her degree with her passion for advocacy. Her education journey has been messy but it’s been perfect for her! She’s happy to represent the students who don’t necessarily fall into the traditional high school to college category- her higher education journey included going straight from high school to university and having to drop out halfway through the semester, attending community college for a year before leaving for an internship, and finishing off strong on an accelerated track as a Fully Online Student.
